Thursday, August 26, 2010	6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.	Ewald Branch of the GP Public Library 15175 E. Jefferson Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230	A Showing of "Ironed-Jaws Angels" to commemorate Women's Equality Day. In celebration of Women's Equality Day, the League of Women Voters will be showing the HBO film "Ironed-Jaws Angels". Women's Equality Day recognizes the passage of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote. The event is free and open to the public.
Saturday, September 11, 2010	9 a.m.- 1 p.m.	West Park Market (on the corner of Kercheval and Lakepointe) Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230	LWVGP's Annual Mum Sale. Please stop by and pick up your autumn mums! Plants are $8. Colors offered are white, yellow, purple, rust, and lavender. Order forms will be included in next Voter. (Members are strongly urged to submit advance orders.) Refreshments are also being sold. Volunteers are needed to help with the event.
